I’m not usually one who buys into the hype of secrets and hints/tips/cheats… but these are all 100% true and work 100% of the time.
This is going to be my shortest article to date… short and straight to the point. So here it is…
Secret #1 - Put down the shitty food.
Pretty straight forward and obvious here. You want to lose weight? Why are you eating ice cream every night while watching tv?
Secret #2 - Eat more good food.
Again, straight forward. Trying to be healthy? whole foods, lean protein, healthy grains, fruits and vegetables… thats it. Of course with a rare exception here and there (refer to my “cheat meal” article).
Secret #3 - Get your ass off the couch.
The average american watches 4-5 hours of TV per day… thats all I really need to put here.
Secret #3 - Exercise 3-4 days per week for at least 30-45 minutes.
If you’re going to exercise, do it right. Join a gym, get a trainer, get a gym partner/running partner… whatever it takes to keep you motivated and accountable.
Secret #4 - Do both strength training and cardio.
Whats that? You say you want to lose fat and gain muscle at the same time? Then Whyyy in gods name are you running on the treadmill for 45 minutes then calling it a day every time you workout?! Be smart about this one people.
Secret #5 - Stress less.
Sometimes its hard, but find a way. If you stress, your road to better health will be much longer and a lot more difficult. Yoga is a great example of a stress reliever/workout at the same time.
Secret #6 - Sleep more.
7-8 hours per night. Find a way to make it happen.
Secret #7 - THATS IT.
No seriously, thats it. In a nutshell, thats all you need to do to be in the best shape of your life. Of course, this is over simplified greatly… but i’m just trying to show that the process itself IS simple, and we often over complicate it for whatever reason. Execution of the process is anything but simple I know, but doing things the right way will ALWAYS yield better results than fad diets, miracle pills, etc…
Secret #8 - THERE ARE NO SECRETS!
As you can see, these are all commonly known aspects about health and fitness. In this day and age, we know EXACTLY what works, yet for some reason a large percentage of us still don’t do it. There are still far too many people out there searching for the “secrets” and “quick fix.” If people would put as much time and effort into these proven effective methods as they do wasting their time on bullshit “miracle pills” and “super diets” then the world would be a much healthier, happier place! Don’t be one of the many misguided by empty promises, do what we all KNOW works!
Secret #9 - No really, there are no secrets…
Secret #10 - You’re still reading this hoping that I would tell you at least one secret you didn’t already know. Nah, sorry… not today. NOW GET TO WORK!
